High Performance at Low Cost |
| The performance per host connection is
1200MB/sec, which is higher than a single 4G or even
10G Fibre Channel connection. The bus performance is
achieved by combining four SAS channels with each
supporting 3Gbps full duplex speed. Together with a
highspeed SAS HBA or SAS RAID controller card in the
host server, this storage subsystem can deliver
unprecedented performance at the entry-level price
point. |
High Scalability |
| To manage the growing storage needs via
efficient expansion, XJ1000 is an ideal choice for a
scalable solution. The embedded SAS expander
supports a downlink cascade path with four SAS
channels, maintaining 1,200MB/s speed. Depending on
the host adapter and system configuration, up to ten
XJ1000 SAS JBODs can be cascaded for optimum storage
expansion. |
40% Smaller System Footprint |
| Over 40% reduction in system footprint design
results in a space-efficient subsystem with only
18-inch depth. XJ1000 greatly increases the
terabyte-per-square foot storage density. Compared
to other subsystems in the market, with its smaller
footprint, XJ1000 provides efficient airflow
mechanism and reliable data signal transmission. |
Ease of Maintenance and Management |
| XJ1000 is designed with redundant power supply,
hot-swappable rear fans, and lockable drive trays
for easy maintenance. The systems support in-band
SES (SCSI Enclosure Service) with embedded SEP for
error and status reporting. Each drive has activity
and failure LEDs to indicate the drive status.
Firmware can be upgraded through in-band SAS ports
or serial port. |
